We Want to hear your story.

Contribute to the Archive
The archive can only survive through submissions from the public. Tell us everything: from harrowing escapes and tragedies on the sea, everyday life in Vietnam before the war, a Boat Person’s first Canadian winter, or even how the confusion of being Vietnamese-Canadian in the new generation feels. All of it needs to be recorded into our history.

How to Submit
No journey is too big or too small! You can choose how you want to tell us about your story:  submit a short written piece, or record yourself using just the tools on the site. If you have photos, a longer written piece, video etc., the website also accepts media files.

Fill out the form below, upload your content, and hit the submit button at the end. We do ask that you are as specific and thorough as possible in the form, as the context for all of our submissions is very to us.

After Submitting
Please allow some time for your submission to be posted to the website.  All submissions are carefully reviewed and curated by our team. Each submission is valuable to us, but because we are still a small team, not everything will make it onto the site.

Even if your story doesn't make it on the site, all submissions are organized and archived in the hopes of finding a physical space.

If you have made a submission and notice an error once it is posted, please use the contact page and let our team know so that the appropriate changes can be made. Accuracy of events, people, places etc. are important in making the archive a legitimate source for historical information about the Vietnamese refugees.
